A delicious tomato with huge fruits - the “Miracle of the Earth” tomato
In 2004, breeder V.N. Dederko developed a new variety of tomatoes - Miracle of the Earth, which gained popularity due to its resistance to the vagaries of weather, as well as excellent taste, size and appetizing pink-raspberry color. The seed producer is the Siberian Garden company.
Description of the variety
This variety has two subspecies. They differ from each other in shape and size.
Ukrainian miracle of the earth: pink in color, fruit weight from 300 to 600 g, shaped like a heart.
New Miracle of the Earth: the fruits are large, round, weighing from 500 g to 1 kg.
Their other characteristics are similar.
This variety is productive, mid-season, easily tolerates drought and cold, and is resistant to diseases. The plants are determinate, the fruits are stored for a long time and tolerate transportation well. Productivity reaches 14 kg per square meter.
Attention! The miracle of the earth is a non-hybrid variety. Seeds from the resulting harvest retain varietal characteristics and are suitable for further cultivation.
We grow seedlings
50-60 days before planting in open ground or a greenhouse, the seeds are soaked in warm water and sown in containers with drainage holes filled with prepared soil (you can buy ready-made soil in the store).
Carefully! At high temperatures and strong shading, seedlings tend to stretch.
The optimal temperature for germination is 25 degrees Celsius.
Water and feed tomatoes as needed.Plants with two or three leaves (not counting cotyledons) germinate 10 days after complete germination of the seeds.
Seedlings begin to be hardened in air two weeks before planting in the ground, gradually accustoming the young shoots to direct sunlight.
Landing in the ground
When the ground temperature at a depth of 10-15 cm has settled at +14°C, the seedlings are planted in the ground in previously prepared holes. Three bushes per 1 m². After planting, they are watered with warm water.
Attention. The miracle of the earth is a tall variety. The plants are tied up immediately upon planting. The support must be strong.
After two days, pinching is carried out and leaves that grow above 30 cm above the ground are removed from the shoot.
These tomatoes love moderate watering, because... Excess moisture changes their taste.
Peat, humus, rotted grass, hay - good fertilizer for tomatoes. It begins 2 weeks after planting the seedlings in the ground and is carried out every 14 days.
When the fruits begin to set and ripen, tomatoes also need feeding. To do this, use nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus preparations, infusions of cut (fresh) grass or mullein, alternating the use of mineral and organic fertilizers.
Reference. During the growth period, tomatoes need nitrogen, and when the fruits set - potassium and phosphorus. Fresh manure cannot be used to feed plants!
Tomato Miracle of the Earth is grown in two stems. When the bush takes root and grows, remove leaves and twigs at a height of up to 30 cm from the ground. Select the most powerful stepson and save it as a second stem. Further pinching is carried out every 10-14 days.
This variety does not require preventive treatment against diseases, because has strong immunity to most of them.
Systematic loosening, weed removal, watering and fertilizing are the key to a good harvest.
Growing in soil and in a greenhouse
In order for tomatoes to take root and bear fruit abundantly in open ground, the beds are prepared in the fall. They choose areas that are sheltered from the cold wind. Fertilizers, ash, and compost are added.
When growing in greenhouses, the yield is artificially increased. To do this, place a tank with freshly cut grass between the beds for fermentation. Carbon dioxide released during fermentation provides essential nutrition for plants.
Harvesting and application
The miracle of the earth, like tomatoes of other varieties, is harvested in dry weather. Unripe fruits “reach” and are stored for two to three weeks at room temperature. At the end of summer, many summer residents take advantage of this feature of the variety.
Due to its taste, Miracle of the Earth is more suitable for salads. But it is also used for winter preparations. The only method that won’t work is the method of whole pickling in ordinary jars—the tomatoes simply won’t fit into the neck.

Reviews
According to all characteristics, the Miracle of the Earth is suitable for cultivation on farms. It is in demand by customers and is well transported even over long distances.
Farmers who have at least once grown this variety recommend it.
Galina: “Without much experience in growing the Miracle of the Earth tomato variety, I got an excellent harvest: on the lower branches the fruits weighed about 700 g. I collected a lot of juicy sweet tomatoes from the bush. All are clean and tidy, almost the same size. The Miracle of the Earth tomato variety is a real miracle for landowners. There are many advantages, but I didn’t see any disadvantages.”
Tatiana: “I have been growing this variety for many years and value it very much. Previously, I collected seeds from my ripe tomatoes, but in 2014 I decided to update the planting material and purchased packaging from Siberian Garden. I was very worried that the branded seeds would produce a tomato with characteristics different from my pets. This is how it turned out in the end. But there was no disappointment.
The tomatoes look different, but they are so productive! Just a sight for sore eyes! I went to the greenhouse every day to admire them. The taste was also decent. A little less sourness than in our own tomatoes. But still very tasty. I am very pleased with the seeds of the Miracle of the Earth tomato variety from the Siberian Garden. I recommend it to all lovers of delicious tomatoes.”
Conclusion
The wonder of the earth lives up to its name. A high-yielding salad variety of tomatoes with large, beautiful and fleshy fruits. Easily withstands adverse weather conditions, convenient for storage and transportation. It is found on farms and in amateur gardens.
