Preparation:

  1. First, we clean the head of cabbage from the top dry leaves, wash it thoroughly and dry it with a towel.
  2. We cut the cabbage into four parts (it is not necessary to remove the stalk), and then into long and thin strips. To chop cabbage faster, you can use a special device that is found on most graters - a shredder (three longitudinal sharp blades on a panel).
